2022 Language and Culture Course Grant.

2022 Language and Culture Course Grant

February 15 2021

Overview:

Tui Tuia Learning Circle - Languages is delighted to be able to offer New Zealand registered teachers of languages the opportunity to apply for funding assistance for further language and culture study.

All teachers, and their students, benefit from their being up to date with their language and cultural knowledge. We encourage all teachers of second languages to continue upskilling in the language they are teaching. Grants of up to $500 per applicant are available to contribute towards further target language and/or culture study in a course identified by the applicant.

Evaluation and reporting:

An evaluation will be done before and after the course is completed to assess language/culture understanding and improvement. This may involve an online or in-person observation by one of our team of Professional Experts, with some discussion with each teacher about the impact of the course on their teaching programme.

Eligibility:

New Zealand registered teachers currently teaching the target language of the course that the grant is being applied for.
Teachers who are implementing new language programmes.

Cost:

Successful applicants will need to pay up-front and then claim costs. You will need to provide GST receipts in order to receive reimbursement (to a maximum of $500).

Application Deadline:

Friday 24 March 2022
