Chinese Short Film Contest

The 3rd New Zealand Primary and Secondary School Students Chinese Short Film Contest will start soon. This contest, hosted by ILEP and NZCLTA, encourages student interest and enthusiasm in learning Chinese and enhances their understanding of Chinese language and culture. Registrations are open 31 May - 31 July 2018.

Teach English (and play rugby) in Spain.

Teach English (and play rugby) in Spain

The Spanish Ministry of Education offers scholarships for New Zealand and Fiji university graduates and students (majoring in any subject) to support the teaching of English in primary, secondary or languages schools from from October 2018 to May/June 2019, or alternatively from January to May/June 2019. For assistants playing rugby in New Zealand the programme also includes the possibility to join some of the top Spanish rugby teams.

Free Chinese and Korean classes for teachers.

Free Chinese and Korean classes for teachers

For current or future teachers of Chinese in New Zealand Schools, ILEP is offering high quality and supportive beginner and intermediate level Chinese language classes in collaboration with the Confucius Institute. Beginner level classes start on 27 February, Intermediate level classes on 1 March. Please register your interest by emailing admin@ilep.ac.nz.

ILEP is pleased to have the opportunity to continue to offer Korean language courses (Beginner 1, Beginner 2 and Beginner 3) in 2018 in collaboration with the Korean Education Centre (KEC). Courses begin during the week starting 19 February. Please register your interest by emailing admin@ilep.ac.nz.
